Dare to visit the interior of the earth and discover a world beyond fiction.
Enjoy an introductory caving experience in Arredondo, Cantabria, exploring the Coventosa Cave . It will be a few hours of excitement and learning, the perfect opportunity to discover the mythical Sala de los Fantasmas and the impressive underground system of the Asón valley.

What we will do
The guide will meet us punctually at the meeting point in Arredondo, Cantabria, to begin this adventure in the heart of the Asón Valley. After introductions and an introduction to the activity, we will equip ourselves with everything we need.
The approach section will be a simple walk of about 15 minutes in an area of great scenic beauty until we reach the mouth of the cave. We will then enter one of the jewels of the Cueto-Coventosa system to discover treasures guarded for millions of years. To reach the heart of the cave, we will face a simple abseil of about 12 metres.
Once inside, we will go through galleries full of formations, stalactites and columns up to 40 metres high, such as the spectacular Hall of Ghosts.
After about 2 and a half hours of exploration, we will come out to the surface by the same access route, saving the height with the help of a ladder and a knotted rope. We will return to the starting point along the initial path, commenting on the most memorable moments of our underground adventure.
The whole experience will last about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and you can participate from the age of 8 years old.
It is necessary to know how to swim.
Minors up to the age of 12 must be accompanied. From 13 years of age it is sufficient to present the signed authorisation of a legal guardian.
People with vertigo should bear in mind that there is a 12-metre abseil to access. However, the rooms are quite spacious, so this should not be a problem for people with claustrophobia.
It is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
The experience is not recommended for pregnant women.

Other information
The activity is available all year round and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached.
Please note that the guide will meet you in the cave area, so there are no changing rooms or lockers available. If necessary, you will be able to use the guide's van for support.
Accompanying persons who are not participating can accompany the group to the entrance of the cave and take a walk in the surrounding area (the area is also accessible for pets) .
At the end of the activity, the guide will send you any photos or videos taken. You can also use a helmet with a GoPro mount if you want to bring your own camera.
Free parking is available near the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
