Full description
Experience winter away from the noise.
Choose this snowshoeing route from the Vallter ski resort. Walk unhurriedly through the forests of the Girona Pyrenees, accompanied by a qualified mountain guide.
Three hours to disconnect and let the mountain set the pace. This is how to enjoy winter in the Pyrenees.
What we will do
The appointment will be 10 minutes before the booking time at the meeting point in the ski resort of Vallter, Girona. There we will be met by the guide, who will give us the equipment, explain how to put on our snowshoes and give us an introduction to the activity before starting the route.
We will start at the foot of the slopes, but we will soon leave the usual routes to enter a magical forest and mountain environment. The route will be gentle and accessible, perfect for enjoying the snow at an altitude of 2000 metres while we move forward without rushing.
Halfway along the route we will make a brief stop at a refuge, where we can rest and have a hot drink while we enjoy the views of the Parc Natural de les Capçaleres del Ter i el Freser. Afterwards, we will resume the walk to complete the route through the forests and landscapes of the Eastern Pyrenees.
The activity has a total duration of approximately 3 hours, of which about 2 hours and a half will be spent walking with snowshoes.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary, but it is necessary to be an active person used to walking.
You can participate from the age of 8 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart problems or who have recently suffered injuries.
It is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.

The activity is available from December until Easter.
Important: please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to change.
The number of guides will change depending on the number of participants.
Dogs are not allowed.
It is not necessary to use any chairlift, the route will start on a track very close to the car park.
There is no waiting area for accompanying persons who are not taking part in the route.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. It is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
