Get ready for a snow day your kids will never forget.
Experience a family adventure in Puerto de Navacerrada:snowshoeing route and igloo workshop. You will walk on the snow of the Sierra de Guadarrama and learn how to build your own snow shelter with the help of the guide.
A morning of nature, laughter and teamwork. Are you ready to play at being Eskimos for a day?
What we will do
We will have to be at the meeting point on time for the start of the route, but it is advisable to arrive at the Puerto de Navacerrada at least 1 hour in advance.
Before starting, we will do a brief introduction to learn how to put on the snowshoes correctly and become familiar with their use. The guide will give us a few minutes to practice and gain confidence before we set off.
And then our adventure begins! We will follow a simple route, designed for families, on snow in the spectacular surroundings of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. It will be a couple of kilometres at a leisurely pace, with short stops to rest and listen to the guide's explanations.
Then comes the highlight of the day: the igloo building workshop. We will spend about an hour learning the basic techniques and, working as a team, we will shape our own snow shelter. Fun, learning and lots of laughs guaranteed. We will also have time to recharge our batteries with a snack in our backpacks before we start our return journey.
The activity will last between 4 and 5 hours, combining the snowshoeing route, the igloo workshop and the stops during the experience.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and children from 5 years of age can participate.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The activity usually takes place from December to March. Please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to change.
Departure is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached .
It is not possible to do the route with dogs.
Accompanying persons not participating in the excursion can wait in Puerto de Navacerrada (there are some bars and restaurants) .
There is free parking in the area (although it is advisable to arrive before 8: 00 a. m. to find free spaces) . It is also possible to get there by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
