An experience to discover the Sierra de Guadarrama in its whitest version.
From Puerto de Navacerrada a guided snowshoeing route awaits you to discover some of the most emblematic spots in the Sierra de Guadarrama. You will walk about 7 km over the white blanket, with views towards Madrid and Segovia, at a comfortable pace and adapted to the group.
Don't forget your snack and get ready to go into winter mode and enjoy a few hours of total disconnection.
What we will do
We will have to be at the meeting point on time for the start of the route, but it is advisable to arrive at the Puerto de Navacerrada at least 1 hour in advance.
Before starting, we will do a brief introduction to learn how to put on the snowshoes correctly and become familiar with their use. The guide will give us a few minutes to practice and gain confidence before we set off.
We will then be ready for a route through some of the most emblematic corners of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. We will walk at a leisurely pace over the white blanket and enjoy the views towards Madrid and Segovia. The route will be about 7 km long, with an approximate difference in altitude of 325 m positive and 310 m negative, always adapted to the pace of the group.
Halfway along the route, we will take a break to rest and have something to eat (we have to remember to have a snack) . This is the perfect moment to recharge your batteries and enjoy the winter scenery before heading back to the starting point.
It will take between 3 and 3 and a half hours to complete the route. The total duration of the activity will be between 4 and 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and participation is open to children aged 10 and over.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
The activity usually takes place from December to March. Please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to change.
Departure is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached .
It is not possible to do the route with dogs.
Accompanying persons not participating in the excursion can wait in Puerto de Navacerrada (there are some bars and restaurants) .
There is free parking in the area (although it is advisable to arrive before 8: 00 a. m. to find free spaces) . It is also possible to get there by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
