If, for you, Baqueira-Beret is just about skiing, you’re missing out on half the fun.
Strap on your snowshoes to complete a 7 km trek that takes around 2 hours. A gentle walk to get away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes and enjoy the silence in the heart of the Aran Valley, broken only by the crunch of the snow beneath your feet in the heart of the Pyrenean countryside.
Switch off for a while and feel at one with the mountains.
What we will do
The guide will meet us at the meeting point in Baqueira-Beret about 10 minutes before the start of the route. Once the whole group has gathered, they will explain how the activity will unfold and hand out the snowshoes and poles.
After putting on our snowshoes as instructed and taking a few tentative steps to get the hang of it, we’ll be ready to set off on our winter adventure.
We’ll cover around 7 km through the natural surroundings of Baqueira-Beret, following a moderate route chosen by the guide depending on snow conditions and the weather. Along the way, we’ll walk at a leisurely pace, stopping to rest and listen to the guide’s explanations about the surroundings and the Aranese landscapes around us.
Walking on snowshoes through the Aran Valley has a hypnotic quality: the constant crunch of the snow in the silence and the vastness of the Pyrenean slopes. It is a complete immersion in the mountains, where the mind is cleared of everyday noise during the two-hour walk, and all that matters is the next step on the fresh snow.
The experience will last a total of approximately two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
No previous experience with snowshoes is required, and participants must be aged 12 or over.
Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with any kind of injury. Participation is at your own risk.
This activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Other information
The experience is subject to snow conditions and trail conditions; the season usually runs from late November to early April.
The tour is confirmed once a minimum group of 3 participants has been reached .
The tours are usually pet-friendly; if you’d like to bring your dog, please contact the guide in advance to let them know the breed and size. You’ll receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. We cannot guarantee that the area is served by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
