Full description

A family alpine expedition: are you up for the challenge?

Hop into a 4x4 in Aínsa to venture into the heart of the Ordesa Valley and enjoy a 4-hour family adventure. An adventure amongst peaks over 3, 000 metres high: a snowshoe trek, games, igloo-building and learning in the Aragonese Pyrenees.

If your little ones think snow is only good for snowball fights, it’s high time to change their mindset about the mountains.

What we will do

The guide will meet us 10 minutes before the booked time at the meeting point in Aínsa, Huesca. After a round of introductions, we’ll climb into the 4x4s to begin the adventure, heading for the heart of the Pyrenees.

The exact area will be chosen depending on the weather conditions, and the guide will tailor the route to the group’s pace and interests. In any case, we’ll visit places that can only be reached by 4x4, such as the upper Pineta Valley, Tabernés or the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park area . All offer spectacular scenery, with views of peaks over 3, 000 metres and glacial valleys that will take our breath away.

During the journey, the guide will share interesting facts about nature, history and life in the Aragonese Pyrenees. When we reach our chosen spot, we’ll put on our snowshoes for a walk and enjoy the surroundings.

As this is a family-friendly experience, fun for the little ones is guaranteed. We’ll play in the snow, build shelters or even a small igloo, and learn in a fun way about mountain safety and rescue. All as a team, just like real mountaineers.

Time will fly by amidst laughter, picture-postcard scenery and shared moments that will stay with us forever. After about two hours, all that remains is the return journey: we’ll climb back into the 4x4 to head home with the feeling of having been on a little but wonderful family expedition.

The entire experience lasts approximately 4 hours in total, including preparations and travel time.
