Want to go gossiping about the private lives of Granada's octopus, groupers and triggerfish?
Forget rigid excursions and snorkel at your own pace in the crystal clear waters of Calahonda. After a quick briefing to ensure everything goes smoothly, the beach is completely yours to explore, float and connect with the local wildlife at your leisure. You'll enjoy a minimum of 2 hours in the water but if you're left wanting more, extend your adventure up to 4 hours by doubling up for free.

What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Calahonda, Granada, to start shaping our aquatic adventure. After the welcome, we will equip ourselves with all the necessary equipment, including mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit if the season requires it. With everything ready, we will get into the van with the instructor for a short 5 minute drive that will take us directly to the emblematic Calahonda Beach.
When we get to the sand, the professionals will explain to us through a dynamic briefing the essential technical notions to enjoy the activity in a totally safe way. We will learn how to empty the snorkel, how to adjust our goggles correctly and how to identify the best spots in the cove. As this is a self-guided experience, the instructor will not dive with us, but will leave us in this ideal area for us to explore at our own pace, agreeing on a pick-up time to pick us up again in the van.
From then on, we will slide into the water and swim freely for a standard 2 hour shift in the water. If we want more, the organisers offer us the fantastic advantage of extending the time free of charge up to 4 hours.
During the dive, we will observe an amazing nursery of animals surrounded by groupers, groupers, chernas, gobies, sarpas, octopus, cuttlefish, blondes and eye-catching triggerfish at our own pace. At the end of the exploration, the van will pick us up and take us back to the starting point. In total, we will enjoy a 2 to 4 hour experience full of freedom, nature and disconnection on the Costa Tropical.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for all levels, especially for those who prefer to explore without the rigidity of a guided group.
The minimum age to participate is 5 years old and it is compulsory for all children to be accompanied by an adult.
It is essential to know how to swim.
People in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility can participate, but must inform the organisers in advance in order to adapt the logistics of the transfer.
Other information
The activity is available from April to November.
It takes place with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8 per shift.
Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the meeting point.
The village can be reached by public transport, although on-time attendance is subject to the combinations and timetables of the bus line.
Accompanying persons who choose not to dive can wait comfortably in the sun on the beach.
Pets are not allowed.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
