Sierra del Lúgar via ferrata in Molina de Segura, Murcia

You’ll almost be able to touch the sky above the Sierra del Lúgar with your fingertips.

Tackle this K3-rated via ferrata near Molina de Segura. A guided experience lasting between 3 and 4 hours, putting you to the test with a vertical challenge in the heart of the countryside. You’ll climb steps and clamber over the limestone rock whilst learning about the local flora and fauna.

What we will do

The guide will meet us punctually at the meeting point in Molina de Segura to welcome us and introduce the day’s programme.

We’ll start with a 30-minute approach walk, using the journey to continue explaining the experience and the natural surroundings we’ll be exploring. Upon reaching the base of the rock face, we’ll kitting ourselves out with harnesses, helmets and fall arresters, and go over the technical details before starting the climb.

We’ll tackle the climb by making our way up the rock face, using anchors, steps, bolts and chains for support… always secured to the steel lifeline. Each obstacle will be an opportunity to push ourselves further.

During the route, the guide will explain the correct technique before each obstacle and share interesting facts about the native flora and fauna of the Sierra del Lúgar.

After reaching the summit and taking in the panoramic view of the surrounding area, we’ll begin our return journey with a walk of around 30 minutes back to the starting point.

The experience will last a total of between 3 and 4 hours.

Who it is aimed at

No experience is required, and participants must be aged 13 or over.

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with disabilities.

Other information

The tour is available all year round and the departure is confirmed once a minimum group of 3 participants has been reached.

Please note that the meeting point is at the location where the activity begins and that there will be no access to changing rooms, showers or lockers.

IMPORTANT: as soon as your booking is confirmed, please contact the guide as soon as possible to complete the activity registration form. The guide will also need to provide you with the exact location of the meeting point . You will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.

Accompanying guests who are not taking part in the activity may attend as spectators, as the entire via ferrata is visible from below. It is also possible to bring pets to the area.

There is free parking near the meeting point, but it is not possible to reach the area by public transport.

• Windbreaker
