Who needs the Caribbean when you can become a real Carrión pirate and conquer the river with a stroke of the oar?
Give this fun, self-guided descent a go – lasting up to 3 hours in total – along the calm waters of the River Carrión in Palencia. Starting in Husillos, you’ll be taken by minibus to Monzón de Campos , where you can set off at your own pace on a free-flowing, super-relaxed descent in a two-person kayak. All the technical equipment is included to ensure you have a brilliant time.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Husillos, about 15 minutes before our booking time. There, we’ll be welcomed and kitted out with all the necessary equipment. We’ll receive a brief but comprehensive initial technical briefing on how to handle the double kayak and the characteristics of the river. We’ll then board the minibus that will take us to the jetty at Monzón de Campos, the official starting point of our adventure.
We’ll launch the double kayaks into the water to begin a thoroughly enjoyable self-guided descent. As this is a medium-difficulty stretch of river with no steep gradients or rugged sections, we’ll paddle in a very relaxed manner, entirely at our own pace. During our journey through this corner of Palencia, we’ll be free to stop and rest, enjoy the riverside scenery or take a dip in the calmer stretches of water.
We’ll complete the return journey by paddling back under our own steam directly to the Husillos jetty, where we began the day. Although the actual paddling can be comfortably completed in an hour and a half, we’ll have a time limit of up to three hours in total to carry out the whole activity at a leisurely pace.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone. Although it is classified as intermediate level, no previous experience is required as the Carrión has very little gradient in this area.
You do not need to be able to swim to take part, as life jackets must be worn.
The minimum age to take part is 8 years. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the same boat.
For safety reasons, this activity is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. It is also not recommended for pregnant women.
Dogs are allowed on the trip (maximum one pet per double kayak) .

The experience is available from mid-June until the end of August.
A minimum of 2 participants is required and a maximum of 15 people are allowed per session ( for larger groups, please contact us in advance) .
Free parking is available at the meeting point . We do not recommend trying to reach the meeting point by public transport due to limited services.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
