A vertical family experience with the Tena Valley at your feet.
The Santa Elena via ferrata, in Biescas, is perfect for beginners. You will climb up a wall equipped with clamps, overcome small overhangs and reach a 50-metre vertical stretch with incredible panoramic views of the area. The route is guided, safe and suitable even for children from 6 years old.

What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Canfranc-Estación. From there we will travel in our private cars to the car park in Biescas, where we will get equipped and receive the first indications about the activity.
The approach on foot will take approximately 20 minutes, after which we will be at the start of the via ferrata. There we will attend a complete briefing by the guide, who will explain how to use the material and how to progress safely.
The via ferrata of Santa Elena is a vertical and very panoramic route, made up of 6 sections of wall climbing. We will overcome overhangs and overhangs without technical complications, thanks to the clamps installed along the route. The most imposing section has a drop of 50 metres and offers spectacular views of the Tena Valley .
During the progression, the guide will be attentive at all times to ensure each step and offer support if necessary. Before saying goodbye, we can go to the nearby Santa Elena waterfall, a perfect spot to take photos as a souvenir.
The walk back to the car park will take about 10 minutes. The total duration of the activity will be about 4 hours, of which we will spend between 1 hour and a half and 2 hours walking the via ferrata.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is level K1, perfect as a first experience in via ferrata and can be done as a family.
Children from 6 years of age can participate. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not a suitable experience for pregnant women or people with reduced mobility and a good health condition is required. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the activity, we advise you to consult your doctor.
Other information
The activity is available from April to November.
There are no changing rooms or lockers in which to leave valuables, which you will have to leave in the car.
Accompanying persons who do not participate may attend the activity from below. Dogs may be kept on a leash.
The photo/video service can be contracted directly with the guide with prior notice. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Free parking is available both near the meeting point and in the surroundings of the ferrata. It is not possible to get there by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
