A day of sea, wind and freedom in the Galician paradise.
Sail from Vigo to the Cíes Islands aboard a comfortable sailboat to spend a whole day exploring one of the most spectacular corners of the Atlantic Islands National Park. Wild beaches, trails with endless views and a picnic to recover energy and continue exploring.
A complete plan to breathe nature and return to port with a smile from ear to ear.
What we will do
We will meet 5 minutes before departure time at the meeting point in the marina of Vigo, where we will be met by the skipper. Once on board the sailboat, he will briefly explain the safety rules and how the day will unfold.
We will set course for the Cíes Islands with a crossing of about 2 hours, sailing as long as the wind allows it. During the trip, the skipper will be able to tell us interesting facts about the Vigo estuary, a place where history and legend intertwine.
Once we arrive, the sailboat will be anchored off the coast and we can go ashore to discover this wonderful part of the Parque Nacional das Illas Atlánticas (the Xunta de Galicia's permission to disembark is included) .
We will have several hours to explore the trails, relax on the beaches and have fun with a refreshing dip (you can't leave Cíes without having had a swim, there are no excuses) . At midday we can recharge our batteries with a full picnic, before continuing to enjoy the surroundings.
In the afternoon we will return to the sailboat to finish an unforgettable day with the return trip to the port of Vigo. The activity will have a total duration of approximately 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for all ages.
Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible. People with mobility problems can participate if they are able to board with the assistance of accompanying persons.
Other information
It is possible to do the shared excursion from Easter to October. The experience is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 participants is reached .
The booking also includes the authorization of the Xunta de Galicia for access to the Cíes Islands. You won't have to worry about anything.
There is a picnic included, but you can also bring on board more food and drink if you wish.
If you have any intolerance, allergy or other dietary requirements, please inform the organiser in advance so that the picnic can be adapted. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
On board you are advised to be barefoot or wear white rubber-soled shoes to avoid slipping and stains on the deck.
As this is a shared excursion, it is not possible to participate with pets.
The model of the boat may vary depending on the group and availability. All available boats are fully equipped to guarantee the best experience.
Paid parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the harbour. It is also possible to reach the area by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
