With the wind in your sails, full steam ahead! Fancy learning how to hoist the mainsail? Or how to tie a proper knot? Take your first steps into this exciting world with this activity.
As you sail the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, you’ll enjoy your first taste of sailing. You’ll set sail from Port de Garraf, in Sitges, to learn the secrets of sailing in one of the most beautiful spots on the Catalan coast . Ropes, sails, courses and much more.
Embark on this 3-hour educational adventure that will turn you into a real sailor. Are you ready to set sail?
What we will do
The meeting point will be at Port de Garraf, Sitges. You don’t need to arrive early, but please do be on time.
After a brief safety briefing, you’ll have your first taste of sailing. The skipper will explain in detail how each part of the boat works . You’ll learn about all the equipment and instruments on board. You’ll also learn how to carry out tasks such as mooring, hoisting and trimming the sails. You’ll gain a better understanding of how the winds work and how to recognise different courses. Finally, you’ll learn what to do in an emergency and how to respond to a ‘man overboard’ situation.
Meanwhile, you’ll be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful harbours on the Catalan coast and see the spectacular Garraf Natural Park from the boat. If you’re curious travellers, the skipper will act as your guide and explain details and interesting facts about the surroundings.
The sailing trip will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. You don't need to know how to swim, there are life jackets on board.
There is no minimum age to participate in the sailing and babies also count as a place on board.
In the case of people with mobility problems, the boat can be brought to within a few centimetres of the quay so that they can get on board. However, a wheelchair would not fit on board.

The activity takes place all year round, every day, and the maximum capacity for this experience is 7 people.
You’ll be sailing on the Bela, a Finnsailer 34 characterised by the design and elegance typical of Finnish boats. It is 11 metres long and can accommodate up to 12 people. Onboard amenities include: 3 cabins, a saloon, a fully equipped galley, a toilet…
You can take part as a guest, but the price of the activity will remain the same.
You can bring your own food, as there is a fridge on board.
There is paid parking near the harbour and the nearest train station is about a 5-minute walk away.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
