Did you know that birds weighing less than 20 grams cross the Sahara every year just to nest in the dehesa of Badajoz?
In this 4-hour private experience you will travel through the south of Badajoz in a hybrid 4x4 vehicle with an expert birding guide, searching for iconic species in a fully customisable adventure adapted to your pace.
What we will do
Your guide will meet you punctually at the meeting point in Extremadura to start a unique expedition. The exact starting point will be communicated to you before the experience, as it may vary depending on the weather conditions and the preferences or specific species you wish to see. After a brief introduction to the environment, you will get into the hybrid 4x4 vehicle and enter the dehesa, an ecosystem shaped by man and wildlife in harmony for centuries.
During the route, you will enjoy a fully customisable itinerary; whether you are looking for an intense adventure or a relaxed ride, the guide will adapt to your wishes to make the experience unique. As you go, you will learn fascinating facts and trivia not only about the birds, but about all the wildlife that inhabits the region, from deer to small mammals.
You will make strategic stops at exclusive viewpoints to use the professional telescopes and binoculars provided. As this is a wildlife watching experience, you will keep your attention on every clearing in the forest, where you may come across different animals that make the dehesa their home.
You will continue your search for those special sightings, combining the tracking of mammals with the majestic flight of birds of prey. After 4 hours of total immersion in the nature of Badajoz, you will finish the adventure by returning to the starting point to say goodbye to your guide.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
