Discover the Lloroza Lakes on a private route that combines the ascent by cable car with an excursion on snowshoes through some of the most iconic landscapes of the Picos de Europa. Walk along white trails, learn interesting facts about the environment and enjoy the mountain in its most wintry version.
A 3. 5 hour experience between altitude, snow and calm.
What we will do
You will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Fuente Dé, where you will meet your qualified guide, who will accompany you throughout the activity. After the introductions, you will collect your equipment - rackets and poles - and check your equipment together before boarding the cable car.
During the ascent you will enjoy one of the most iconic views of the Picos de Europa: the glacial cirque of Fuente Dé seen from the air. Once at the top station, at an altitude of almost 1, 800 metres, you will put on your snowshoes and listen to the guide's instructions before starting the excursion.
The route will be circular and will take you through such special enclaves as the Jenduda channel, the Lloroza Lakes and the natural viewpoints of the Áliva Valley, all of them transformed into an impressive winter landscape. This is an ideal interpretative route both for those who are new to snowshoeing and for those who want to learn about the surroundings in safety.
You will advance through snowy terrain at a comfortable pace, with stops to observe the landscape, take photos and enjoy the guide's explanations about geology, flora and fauna. The activity lasts approximately 3 and a half hours, including the route time and the stops.
At the end of the tour you will return to the top station to take the cable car back to Fuente Dé, where you will finish this fantastic activity.

The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.
Pets are not allowed.
The availability of the cable car may limit places; therefore, we do not accept bookings less than 22 hours in advance.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
