Transform the paddling experience into a total visual immersion and observe the underwater life as if you were snorkelling!
Discover the secrets of the Cabo de Palos Marine Reserve without getting wet or using snorkelling equipment, and enjoy a privileged window to the seabed as you sail past the iconic lighthouse on an unforgettable 2-hour guided kayak tour.
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the agreed time at our meeting point, located very close to Levante Beach in Cartagena. As soon as we arrive, we’ll be welcomed and given a technical briefing where we’ll learn how to use the paddle and the safety rules needed to paddle with complete confidence.
Once we’re all set… into the water! We’ll climb into the kayaks and start paddling gently along the coastline towards the Cabo de Palos Lighthouse. During the trip, we’ll pass by fascinating rock formations such as Cala del Pato, whilst enjoying the unique sensation of watching the underwater world glide right beneath our feet thanks to the transparent hull.
Sea conditions permitting, we’ll head to Cala Fría to soak up the surroundings right beneath the silhouette of the lighthouse; if the wind is blowing strongly, we’ll seek shelter in the calm of Cala Túnez. At this point, we’ll stop for about 30 minutes so that anyone who wishes to can put on their goggles and snorkel and explore the vibrant ecosystem of the Marine Reserve.
We’ll set off on the return journey, paddling at a leisurely pace, whilst our guides tell us stories about how sediments have transformed this landscape and share interesting facts about the village. We’ll make the most of this final stretch to observe the local flora and fauna through the water, discovering those small details that often go unnoticed from the surface.
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point to hand in our kit and say our goodbyes, feeling satisfied at having enjoyed a unique adventure. In total, we’ll enjoy a deep connection with nature during an experience lasting approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all ages from 10 years old.
Minors must always be accompanied by an adult in the same kayak.
The maximum weight allowed is 95 kg per person for safety and buoyancy reasons.
Pregnant women are not recommended to participate.
The experience is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs.
It is not compulsory to know how to swim, although it is advisable to feel comfortable in the water.
Other information
The excursion is available from May to October and is confirmed subject to a minimum of 6 participants.
All kayaks provided are two-seaters.
There is free parking nearby, although it gets very busy in summer and we recommend arriving in good time.
It is possible to get close to the meeting point by public transport.
Pets are not permitted on this activity.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
