Kayaking and snorkelling tour among rugged cliffs at La Lajita, Fuerteventura

Feel the freedom of kayaking along a coastline of impressive cliffs and unspoilt beaches on a guided route of 2. 5 hours. A perfect experience to enjoy with family or friends, where you'll combine the gentle sport with an optional 30-minute snorkelling stop to discover the rich underwater life of the Canary Islands.

What we will do

We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point on the beach of La Lajita. After brief introductions, we will receive a short initial briefing to learn how to paddle and coordinate our kayak. Don't worry if it's your first time; these kayaks are very stable and in a few minutes we'll be paddling as if it were nothing, feeling the first contact with the fresh water.

Once in the water, we will begin to explore the wild coast of Fuerteventura. The view from the kayak is simply spectacular: we will see imposing cliffs that plunge into the Atlantic and hidden coves that seem to be taken from another time. The guide will tell us interesting facts about the volcanic geology of the area while we paddle calmly through the crystal clear waters.

Halfway along the route, we will stop for half an hour in a strategic spot. This is where the magic happens, if we have selected the option at the time of booking, we will put on our masks and snorkels. Although the water is not very deep (about 10 metres) , the visibility is brutal. We will be able to observe shoals of fish typical of the Canary Islands and discover how the marine life is buzzing among the rocks in our own "natural aquarium".

Finally, we will return to La Lajita with the feeling that we have made the most of the day. We will say goodbye on the sand, with the salt on our skin, our minds clear and our energy renewed after having fully connected with the purest nature of the island in a 2 and a half hour experience.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for beginners and families who want to enjoy the sea without complications; no previous experience is necessary.

Children can participate from the age of 6 and must always be accompanied by an adult.

For families, the organisers have 3-seater kayaks available, ideal for the little ones to feel safe and enjoy the adventure up close.

Suitable for pregnant women .

People with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can do the activity, but it will be necessary to inform the organisers in advance.

The kayaks are not designed for people weighing more than 100 kg.

It is necessary to feel comfortable in the water and be confident swimming, although life jackets are provided by the organisers at all times.

The excursion takes place every day with morning and afternoon departures.

The group is usually around 8 people, with a maximum of 14 (with more monitors) to guarantee personalised attention.

There is a free transfer service on request for those staying between Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal. You can request it through the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

At the meeting point there are lockers for personal belongings and a changing area, although there are no showers.

Watertight bags for your belongings can be ordered for an extra fee directly from the organisers.

The exact itinerary and snorkelling area is subject to weather conditions to ensure the safety of the participants.

Pets are not allowed during the activity.
