Full description
There are kayak routes that are pure disconnection. This one, moreover, has a seafaring soul.
From the beach of Espiñeiro to the old port of Illa de Arousa, this trip covers rocky islets, quiet coves and landscapes with history. A different way of getting to know the Rías Baixas: paddling unhurriedly and with total freedom. You can follow the whole route or stay in the places you feel like, the pace is up to you.
A flexible experience, perfect even if you are a beginner in kayaking. Are you up for it?
What we will do
The appointment will be at the meeting point in Illa de Arousa, 15 minutes before the booked departure. There we will be met by the person in charge of the activity, who will give us the material and the necessary instructions to follow the route.
If it is our first time, he will also explain how to handle the kayak and the main safety rules. He will also tell us how to contact him if we need help, as he can pick us up at any time in an auxiliary boat .
And we will be ready to paddle towards the north of the Illa de Arousa. We will set off along the west coast, following the itinerary marked by the guide. The complete route is about 4 km in total (there and back to the starting point), between Espiñeiro beach and the old port of the island, passing by Mallón beach, Punta Ouriceira or Comboa beach.
In any case, we can adapt the route as we wish, deciding whether to do the whole route or just part of it, as well as the length of the stops and the time we spend paddling. We will return following the same route.
The total duration of the activity will be 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all ages from 3 years old.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children between 3 and 8 years old will be in a kayak between two adults.
The activity is not suitable for people with motor disabilities.
Other information
The excursion is available from May to October.
The activity is done in autonomy: the guide will not accompany you, he will only give you all the necessary indications to follow the route before setting off. However, you will be able to contact him at any time to solve any problem and there will be an auxiliary boat at your disposal.
The kayaks available can be used individually, in pairs or with a child between 3 and 8 years old as a third passenger.
If you wish, it is also possible to do the same activity on a paddle surf board.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
