A kayak route to discover the essence of the Ebro.
Explore the surroundings of the Illa de Gràcia with a kayak route of approximately 2 hours. Delve into the natural wealth of the Ebro Delta with an expert instructor, in an activity suitable for all ages. You'll learn, relax and have a great time.
At the end of the tour, you will paddle to the Lo Passador bridge, one of the most emblematic and modern constructions of the Ebro, a trip you will remember with a smile on your face!
What we will do
Our monitor will meet us at a strategic point near the Lo Passador bridge, where we will have to be punctual. From there we will travel in the monitors' cars to the starting point of the route, located at the Parc del Riu pier in Deltebre.
There we will finish getting ready and we will attend a brief training session to know the main safety rules and learn how to guide the kayak. In about 10 minutes we will be ready to start paddling along the Illa de Gràcia. First we will paddle upstream, until we reach the westernmost point of the route, and then we will descend along the south bank of the river, opposite Balada. We will pass under the bridge that joins this small bridge with the island and we will continue downstream.
We will make small stops to enjoy the surroundings and the expert monitor who will accompany us will explain the natural attractions of the area. We will be able to admire how the vegetation extends to the shore: a riverside forest where everything from reeds to white poplars grow. Among the fauna of this point of the Ebro, birds such as the grey heron and the cormorant, and fish such as the gilthead bream and the sea bass, will be the stars of the show.
Once we have passed the western tip of the island, we will continue on to our final destination: the modern Lo Passador bridge, where we will be able to recover our cars.
The route will last a maximum of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for beginners and can be done from 5 years of age.
Between the ages of 5 and 10, children will be seated in a double kayak between two adults. From the age of 10 they can paddle, always with a responsible companion.
It is not essential to know how to swim, but it is necessary to feel comfortable in the water.
The activity is not accessible for people with mobility problems.
Other information
The activity runs from March to October and will be confirmed if a minimum of 6 participants is reached.
At the meeting point, which is also the final stage of the route, there is free parking.
It is advisable to leave dry clothes and a towel in the car. The instructor will have a watertight container in which you can keep small personal belongings, but it is advisable to bring one.
At the end of the activity you will receive the photos and videos taken during the route.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
