Full description
River, desert, clayey mountains and a sea of olive trees. .. oh, and tapas at the end. You can't ask for more from this route.
Enjoy a 2 hour horse riding route through viewpoints, old salt pans, western air ravines and olive groves leading to the river Turrilla and the village of Hinojares. An ideal experience to get started in the world of horses, with tapas and refreshments included at the end.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Hinojares, in the middle of the countryside. On arrival, the equestrian guide will welcome us and explain how the experience will unfold. The horses will be ready, although before riding we will be able to get close to them, touch them and start to create that first special connection.
Before setting off, we will have a short introduction of about 10 minutes, where we will learn in a simple way how to hold the reins, the order of the group and the basic behaviour of the horse. Everything is designed to make even first-time riders feel confident and relaxed from the start.
When everything is ready, we will start our horseback riding tour of approximately 2 hours. The route is circular and will take us first to natural viewpoints, from where the landscape opens up with views of the mountains. We will continue towards some ancient salt mines dating back to Roman times, crossing a semi-desert environment of clayey ravines reminiscent of scenes from the Wild West.
Gradually, the landscape changes and we enter a sea of olive trees that descends towards the valley, with views of the picturesque village of Hinojares. The final stretch runs alongside the river Turrilla, providing a cool and tranquil contrast to the route.
Throughout the route we will be accompanied by the guide, who will set a leisurely pace adapted to the group. At the end, we will enjoy tapas and refreshments, the perfect end to an experience that combines nature, amazing landscapes and the pleasure of walking at a leisurely pace.
