Ready for a journey on horseback through one of the most special gardens of the 19th century?
Enjoy an equestrian route of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes through the historic gardens of Parc Samà, a veritable open-air museum combining exotic botany, romantic architecture and landscapes designed for leisurely strolls.
What we will do
We will meet 30 minutes before the agreed time at the equestrian centre in Riudoms, Tarragona. When we arrive, the equestrian guide will welcome us and will explain how the experience will be developed, as well as providing us with the helmet and the necessary material.
Before riding, we will make a brief introduction to the handling of the horse and the basic safety rules. The horses will already be ready, although we will have time to observe them closely, approach them calmly and start to create that first bond before starting the route.
Once ready, our long horse riding route will begin, with a journey of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. We will leave the riding school and ride through woodland and country lanes, crossing vineyards, olive and almond groves, while the landscape gradually leads us to one of the most unique places in the area.
We arrive at the historic gardens of Parc Samà, built in 1881 and considered one of the great works of 19th century Romantic gardening. A journey through this place on horseback is like going through an open-air museum, where exotic botany, colonial-inspired architecture and a landscape design that looks like something out of a fairytale are combined. More than 1, 500 species of flora and fauna coexist in its 14 hectares, creating a living environment full of nuances.
Throughout the tour we will be accompanied by a professional guide, who will ensure the safety and well-being of both the group and the horses, adapting the pace and answering any questions. The experience ends with the sensation of having completed a different kind of equestrian journey, perfect for couples or groups looking to discover Tarragona from a quiet, original and very special perspective.

The experience is designed for people aged 15 and over.
It is a quiet route, ideal for those looking for a horseback ride in the middle of nature and at a relaxed pace.
To guarantee the wellbeing of the horses, the maximum weight allowed is 100 kg.
People with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs can participate but must inform the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

The activity takes place all year round.
The walks are available in the morning from 9. 30 am and in the afternoon from 3. 30 pm. To determine the exact timetable, it will be necessary to contact the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
A minimum of 2 participants is required to confirm the activity and a maximum of 8.
Free parking is available at the riding centre. It is not possible to reach the meeting point by public transport.
Pets are not allowed on the premises.
