Experience an hour and a half of pure adrenaline as you drive along the Beech Forest Route in the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve. You will drive your two-seater buggy through forests of hazelnut and beech trees, feeling how the landscape changes and the energy of the engine on each stretch of the road.
A very fun and dynamic activity, perfect for those who are looking for an authentic adventure and want to discover the wildest corners of León.
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Paradilla de Gordón, León. There we will be met by our guide to check-in and start with a brief introduction to the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve, the natural treasure we are about to explore. After a quick training on the handling of the tandem buggy and the safety rules, we will be ready to start our engines.
We will start the route leaving the asphalt behind to get into paths that will take us directly into the heart of the forest. We will quickly notice how the landscape changes and the temperature drops as we enter the beech and hazelnut groves. Along the way, we will cross stretches where the oak trees give way to beech trees, creating a natural tunnel of vegetation where, with a bit of luck, we will be able to spot various birds of the area.
We will make a very special stop in the middle of the beech forest, where we will find some swings installed among the trees. It will be time to get off the buggy, swing in the middle of nature and enjoy the silence of the forest before continuing the walk. The route combines forest tracks with a small stretch of road of about 3 km that will serve to connect the most spectacular trails in the reserve.
Finally, we will return to the starting point after having completed a route full of contrasts and sensations. In total, we will experience approximately 1 hour and a half of off-road adventure, discovering why these forests are one of the most special places in León.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 25 years old and in possession of a category B driving licence valid in Spain.
The passenger must be at least 4 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The experience is easy and suitable even for first time buggy riders.
The activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
Due to the characteristics of the terrain and the vehicle, the route is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
Other information
The experience is especially designed for winter, but is available all year round. From May to September it is available every day and the rest of the year only at weekends.
During the tour, driver and passenger can take turns driving, as long as both are at least 25 years old and have a driving licence.
Free parking is available in the area . The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.
The route is always on public roads and never off-road, as we are in an area with protected species within the Biosphere Reserve.
The organisers have 4 two-seater buggies available. If you are a group of 3 people, one of you can participate paying half price, going with the guide and taking turns with the rest of the group to drive during the route. To arrange this option, just contact our customer service.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
