Get ready for a bath in nature in one of the wildest corners of Tarragona.
The Canaletes canyon, in the heart of the Parc Natural dels Ports, is ideal for taking your first steps in canyoning. Swimming areas, natural slides, semi-submerged passages, a small abseil and the thrill of jumping into the water surrounded by spectacular scenery await you.
A very aquatic experience in Horta de Sant Joan. To get really wet, laugh in a group and connect with the mountain like never before. Ready to dive into the adventure?
What we will do
The appointment will be at the indicated time at the meeting point in Horta de Sant Joan. The team will be waiting for us there and will organise the transfer by van to the starting area. After a 20-minute drive, we will get kitted out and start a 45-minute walk to the Canaletes .
On arrival at the canyon, the guide will give a full briefing on technique and safety so that we can enjoy the experience with confidence from the first jump. From then on, we 'll get wet to the core! For approximately 1 hour we will go through this dynamic and beautiful canyon, combining jumps, swimming sections, natural slides , boulder areas, partially submerged areas and a small obligatory abseil .
The jumps are optional and adaptable to the level of each participant, which makes this activity an ideal option for those who are new to canyoning or who want to enjoy a refreshing experience in the middle of nature. The return trip will take another 45 minutes walking to meet up with the vehicles.
The total duration of the experience is about 4 and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for the whole family, no experience is necessary and you can participate from the age of 8 years old.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The maximum weight is 120 kg and the maximum height is 2 metres.
The activity is not accessible for people with motor disabilities.
Pregnant women and people with spinal, hip or knee injuries are advised against canyoning.
Other information
The experience is available approximately from Easter to the end of October and is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached.
You will need to inform the guide in advance of the height and weight of each participant, so that they can prepare the appropriate equipment. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
If you want a souvenir of the experience, you can ask the guide in advance for a photo and video service (at no extra cost) .
The canyon has some short swimming sections, so it is useful to know how to swim.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can stay and visit the village and the area. Dogs may be kept on a lead.
The meeting point is in an area where there is free parking for you to leave your car. It is not possible to get there by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
