Discover this and many other curiosities by taking part in our rafting experience in Murcia: accompanied by a guide, you will paddle through the beautiful natural landscape of the Almadenes Canyon.
A 3-hour experience that includes a visit to the picturesque caves.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Calasparra, Murcia. The guide who will accompany us on this adventure will be waiting for us there.
At the destination, passengers will get out of the vehicle and walk to the starting point of the experience (3 minutes away), while the drivers will take the cars to the car park located at the end of the experience (5 minutes away). Afterwards, they will reach the starting point in the guide's vehicle to start the experience.
As soon as all the participants have gathered, a briefing will take place during which the guide will hand out the material, explain the activity and how to use the equipment and provide all the necessary information for a carefree experience. This will last about 20 minutes.
We will then be ready to board the raft and start our rafting experience! We will navigate through the Almadenes Canyon, in a very quiet stretch of the Segura River, the only one in which this river runs through a protected natural environment. During the navigation, the guide will not stop telling anecdotes and curiosities about the flora and fauna of the area.
We will also stop to visit a couple of caves along the way. We will disembark from the raft to visit on foot the Cave Paintings Grotto, so called because it contains cave paintings declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO; the guided tour includes a cave painting workshop and will last approximately 30 minutes. Back on board, we will reach the Otter Cave, which we will approach without getting off the rafts; the visit to the Otter Cave will last approximately 10 minutes.
Back on board, we will cross the finish line at the end of the route (6 km). To get to the car park, we will have to walk a short (5 minutes) steep stretch with stairs. The rafting will take 2 hours and 15 minutes; the total experience will last 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is easy and suitable as a first rafting experience.
The experience is suitable for children over 4 years old. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Itis not necessary to know how to swim to participate.
The experience is not suitable for pregnant women. The experience is not accessible for people with mobility problems. People with slight mobility problems (but who are able to stand up and get on and off the boat with assistance) can participate in the experience, but must contact the guide beforehand to communicate the need for assistance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 10 participants is reached.
There are no changing rooms, so it is advisable to wear sportswear.
Dogs are only allowed on board a private raft, which requires a number of 10 participants from the same group. Please contact the guide via the contact details on your booking confirmation email to inform them of the presence of pets.
Free parking is available near the end point of the descent.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
