Sea baptism in Cambrils in the province of Tarragona

It's time to make that dream come true with this introductory diving programme in Cambrils, in the province of Tarragona. You will live your first underwater experience in total safety and with a qualified instructor. In addition, you'll be able to observe fascinating marine species such as octopus, starfish, bream and cuttlefish up close.

What we will do

The appointment is at the indicated time at the diving centre in Cambrils, in the province of Tarragona.

The instructor who will accompany us on our underwater excursion will be waiting for us. After an initial welcome, we will spend the first few minutes completing the medical self-declaration.

This will be followed by a theoretical part of approximately 30 minutes, during which we will learn how to use the equipment provided and how to behave in the water. After dressing, we will go down to the beach, which is right in front of the centre.

We will gradually enter the sea, putting into practice what we have learnt, always under the supervision of the instructor. We do a part of skills practice and exercises, and another part of the dive itself. The dive will last approximately 60 minutes, reaching a maximum depth of 5 metres, and will give us unique emotions. In fact, among the crystalline waters of Cap de Sant Pere, we will be able to see octopus, cuttlefish, castanets, bream and meadows of Posidonia oceanica, a species endemic to the Mediterranean.

Satisfied and happy, we will finally return to the starting point. The activity will last between 2 and 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 8 years and upwards. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart or respiratory problems or who have recently undergone surgery. A medical self-declaration must be completed on site.

Diving is not recommended in the 24 hours prior to a flight.

The experience is not accessible for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme will provide you with a first experience in the world of diving and the first theoretical and practical notions that will allow you to enjoy the activity safely. No previous experience is required.

Other information

The experience is available all year round, except in December and January.

During the activity, each instructor will be assigned a maximum of 2 participants. For groups of more people, more instructors will be assigned.

If you wish, you can participate with your own equipment.

The dive centre has changing rooms and showers. Personal belongings can be left in the guarded storage room at the reception.

Accompanying persons can wait in the chill-out area of the dive centre by the beach. Dogs are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash.

The meeting point is accessible by public transport and free public parking is available in the area.
