If you think you've seen it all in the Canary Islands. .. wait until you taste a wine born in volcanic soil.
Live a private experience that combines landscape, tradition and flavour, on a guided route along ancient paths, with a visit to the vineyards and the winery, and a tasting of Gomeran wines accompanied by a local tapa.
A 2 h 30 min to 3 h activity to discover La Gomera from its most authentic side and to toast with views of the south of the island.
What we will do
You will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Alajeró, in the south of La Gomera, where you will be met by your guide and start this private experience among vineyards, tradition and volcanic landscape.
You will start with a guided walking tour around the winery, following old country roads with views of the Garajonay National Park. As you walk, you will discover the natural environment that supports the vineyards and learn how vines have been cultivated on the island for generations, between volcanic terraces and gentle slopes.
Afterwards, you will visit the vineyards of Bodega Niray, where the winemaker himself will tell you about the Forastera Gomera grape, an indigenous variety that is only grown here. He will explain why this grape is so special, how it adapts to the volcanic soil and how it influences the personality of his wines.
Then you will enter the winery, to learn about the process of making wines with Denomination of Origin La Gomera. You will see the facilities, listen to family stories and discover how traditional knowledge is combined with modern techniques.
Finally, you will enjoy a commented tasting of white and red wines, accompanied by a tapa of local produce, in which the winemaker will explain in detail the nuances, aromas and secrets of each wine.
In total you will live a private experience of between 2 and a half and 3 hours, perfect to get to know the essence of Gomeran wine, its origin and character, in a natural and authentic environment.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all ages. No previous knowledge is required.
The minimum age to participate in the visit to the winery and the wine tasting is 18 years old.
It is suitable for pregnant women, but not for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, as part of the route is over uneven terrain.
Other information
The activity is available all year round, every day, and takes place in private groups of 1 to 8 people. The price is €140 for groups of 1 to 4 people and €230 for groups of 5 to 8 people.

The tour is available in English, Spanish and German. Please inform the organisers in advance which language you would like to do the tour in.
Accompanying persons who do not participate can wait in the surrounding area.
Free parking is available at the winery .
It is not possible to reach the meeting point by public transport.
Important recommendation: as this is an island, and as the weather can cause changes in dates, it is advisable to book in advance to ensure availability in case of rescheduling.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
