Full description
If you thought winter was for hibernating, wait until you see what awaits you outside.
Discover the Ordesa Pyrenees on a private route that combines the thrill of a 4x4 with a snowshoeing excursion. Cross valleys covered in white, feel the mountain in calm and live an adventure of approximately 5 hours between snow, fresh air and breathtaking landscapes .
What we will do
You will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Escalona, Huesca. Your guide will be waiting for you there, who will accompany you throughout the experience and adapt the route to your pace and curiosity. After the introductions, you will get into the 4x4 vehicle and start your adventure towards the heart of the Ordesa Pyrenees.
The exact area will be chosen according to the weather conditions, as you will access places that can only be reached by 4x4, such as the Añísclo sector, the upper Pineta valley, Tabernés or the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park area. All offer spectacular panoramic views, with views of peaks of over 3, 000 metres and glacier walls that will leave you speechless.
Once you arrive at the chosen point, you will put on your snowshoes and start walking through forests and up snowy slopes. It will be a level 1 route, without steep slopes, perfect to enjoy the mountain without haste and let yourself be enveloped by the beauty of winter.
During the route, the guide will show you hidden corners and tell you about the geology, history and wildlife of this unique area of the Pyrenees. Each stop will be an opportunity to contemplate, laugh and take souvenir photos. If the group wishes or conditions permit, you can take a short break to practice building shelters or learn the basics of winter mountaineering.
In total you will live an experience of approximately 5 hours, although it can be extended a little if the weather and the group allow it.
