Full description
There's nothing more amazing than jumping in the water, trying your first wave and suddenly... wham! You're standing on the board and screaming with excitement. Well, or falling with style, which counts too.
This 2 hour private lesson is just for that: your first contact with the sea, the board and the magic of gliding over a wave on the amazing Famara beach in Lanzarote.
Learn the basics according to your level, with an instructor just for you (or your group). An experience suitable for everyone, where you'll get wet, you'll laugh and you won't want to stop.
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the booking time at the meeting point in Caleta Famara, on the island of Lanzarote. There you will be met by your instructor, you will check in, you will be given your wetsuit and you will be ready to go together to the beach, where you will spend the next 2 hours. It will be a short ride, no more than 10 minutes, where you will feel the wind, smell the sea and warm up your engines.
Once on the sand, you' ll be given your boards, you'll do a quick warm-up and they'll explain youhow the sea is that day: what waves there are, how the wind behaves, where to enter... Then, depending on your level, you will have a theoretical part, very practical and enjoyable, where you will learn the basics to jump into the water with confidence: how to stand up on the board (the famous pop-up), the position of the body, balance and how to read the sea to take advantage of each wave.
And now... Into the water! You'll put everything you've learnt into practice under the watchful eye of the instructor, who will correct you, encourage you and celebrate each attempt. You might fall, but when you catch your first good wave... you will want to do it again and again.
It will be 2 hours of fun, salt water and lots of laughs, in a spectacular natural environment. Ideal to learn, improve or simply enjoy the sea like never before.
The activity will have a total duration of 2 hours and a half.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for children aged 5 and over. Minors must be accompanied by an adult to fill in the initial form.
Not recommended for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or serious back or hip injuries. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
It is not compulsory to know how to swim, although it is recommended for safety reasons. The important thing is to be able to handle yourself well in the water.
No previous experience is required.
Other information
The activity can be done every day of the year.
There are changing rooms at the meeting point, but there are no showers or lockers.
Personal belongings can be left at the meeting point, in the private vehicle or in a shared container managed by the organisers on the beach.
Free parking is available in the vicinity of the meeting point and the area can also be reached by public transport.
Accompanying persons not participating in the class can stay on the beach as spectators.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
