Once you feel the peace of the Albufera with all 5 senses, you won't want to go back to land.
On this tour of the Albufera from El Palmar you will get to know the soul of this unique ecosystem. You will start with a visit to the ethnological museum. Afterwards, you'll board a traditional boat to sail through the lagoon's canals. With a local guide at the helm and sipping a cocktail, you will let yourself be carried away by the calmness of the landscape.

What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in El Palmar.
The guide will welcome us and give us a 10-15 minute introduction to the ethnological museum, where we will learn about how the Albufera was formed and its evolution to become a protected ecosystem.
Afterwards, we will walk about 150 metres to the traditional boat, known as albuferenc. Traditionally, it was propelled by a perch, a system that allows it to move by pushing against the bottom. Nowadays, the perch is used to turn and anchor, while the boat is propelled by a small motor.
A local guide will lead us on this trip on the lagoon waters, as he will also be our boatman. The itinerary may vary depending on the season, so that we can enjoy all the magic of the Albufera in the best way.
During the trip, we can relax, sipping a delicious cocktail, while we listen to the curiosities of the area and let ourselves be rocked by the movement of the boat on the calm waters. The walk will also be a good opportunity to see some of the birds that inhabit this environment of great ornithological interest, up to 300 different species pass through the Albufera every year!
The trip lasts approximately 1 hour.

The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied.
People with reduced mobility will receive assistance to board the boat. The activity is accessible by manual wheelchair (electric/motorised wheelchairs are not suitable).

This activity is available all year round.
You will be on board a typical Albufera boat oralbuferenc, a shallow draft boat without keel, specially developed to navigate the lagoon. In addition to the traditional perch to push itself along the bottom, it has a small motor.
Parking is available for customers, but on weekends it is advisable to arrive earlier. It can also be reached by bus 24 from Valencia.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
