Did you know that the bearded vulture is the only European bird specialised in feeding almost exclusively on bones?
In this private weekend in the Aragonese Pyrenees you will observe it in the wild with an expert guide, you will walk along mountain routes and you will live an unforgettable experience with rural accommodation and all inclusive.
What we will do
You will be welcomed on Friday afternoon at your rural accommodation in Lamiana, Sobrarbe (check-in from 16: 00 h) , a small mountain hotel located at the entrance of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. After settling in, you will meet your guide to go over the plan for the weekend and you will go on an interpretative route until nightfall, perfect to start to get to know the valley and its wildlife before returning to your accommodation for dinner.
On Saturday you will wake up surrounded by silence and mountains. After breakfast, you will enter one of the best areas in the Pyrenees for observing the bearded vulture, where you will see it flying over the rocky cliffs with its imposing wingspan. Throughout the day you will do observation routes, stopping at natural viewpoints to identify vultures, eagles, wallcreepers, marmots and other species of Sobrarbe. After lunch at the accommodation and a short rest, you will continue the afternoon outing until dusk, when the valley offers some of its most spectacular landscapes.
On Sunday morning you will experience one of the key moments of the trip with the observation of a scavenger hunt or, if you have booked it, with a photographic hide session (optional) . This will be your last chance to get a close look at the behaviour of the bearded vulture and other necrophagous birds that visit the area.
After the activity, you will return to your accommodation to collect your luggage and conclude an exclusive weekend, surrounded by nature in its purest state and in one of the most magical places to observe the bearded vulture in the wild.

This experience is designed for all nature lovers. It is perfect for those who are looking for comfort, proximity to the guide and a totally personalised experience.
It is ideal for couples, families with children from 8 years old, or groups of friends.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

The experience starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday at noon.
Check-in is from 15: 00 h and check-out is at 11: 00 h. The meeting with the guide at the hotel will be at 16: 00.

You can optionally add a photo hide session for €80. To book this, you must contact the organisers using the details you will receive in your booking confirmation email.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
