The mountain in the moonlight is magical.
Warming up after a walk in the snow with a good dinner makes for a great night's sleep. Enjoy this great plan in Navacerrada: a night route with snowshoes followed by a complete dinner to recharge your batteries.
This is what you need to enjoy the winter calmly and finish with a good taste in your mouth.
What we will do
We will have to be at the meeting point on time for the start of the route. For this, it is advisable to arrive at Puerto de Navacerrada at least 1 hour in advance.
We will start shortly before sunset with a brief introduction in which the guide will explain the activity and show us how to put on the snowshoes. We will have a few minutes to practice and familiarise ourselves with the technique before setting off.
As the sun sets behind the mountains, we will start walking slowly through the snowy trails of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. We will walk at a leisurely pace as the first stars appear above our heads and the moonlight becomes stronger and stronger. The route will be about 4 km long, with a maximum difference in altitude of about 300 metres and always adapted to the pace of the group.
As soon as we return to the starting point, we will take off our snowshoes and head for a restaurant in Puerto de Navacerrada, where dinner will be served at around 21: 00. We will be able to recharge our batteries by choosing from a selection of first and second courses from the menu, with water and dessert or coffee included.
The route will take about 2 hours and the total duration of the experience will be between 4 and 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
No experience is necessary and participation is open to children aged 10 and over.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
The activity usually takes place on Fridays and Saturdays when there is a full moon, between December and March. Please note that this is a weather-dependent experience and may be subject to variations.
The outing is confirmed when a minimum group of 4 people is reached .
Dinner will include 1 starter and 1 main course to choose from the menu, water and dessert or coffee. Other drinks can be paid for separately.

It is not possible to do the route with dogs.
Please try not to use headlights and take advantage of moonlight.
There is free parking in the area. Due to the timetable at the end of the activity, it will be difficult to get around by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
