Is there anything more comforting than the scent of damp earth, the crunch of dry leaves and foraging for the season’s most sought-after edible mushrooms?
On this 4-hour mushroom-hunting tour, we’ll head into the forests of the Serranía de Cuenca, Alto Tajo or the Sierra de Albarracín, accompanied by a qualified mycologist, to learn how to find, identify and select species such as boletus and milk cap mushrooms whilst enjoying the magic of the countryside in autumn.

What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the booked time at the meeting point, which, depending on the weather , could be in the Serranía de Cuenca, Alto Tajo or the Sierra de Albarracín. There, we’ll be met by our guide, who is qualified by the European Institute of Mycology. They’ll provide us with the necessary baskets and foraging tools and give us a brief introduction to the importance of sustainable foraging and respecting the countryside.
We’ll head into the woods on foot to begin our guided walk. As we explore the different autumnal ecosystems of the mountains, we’ll learn to read the terrain and discover where the various species are hiding. We’ll collect specimens of boletes, milk caps, chanterelles and trumpet mushrooms, whilst the guide explains the biology of fungi, their ecological value and the key differences between edible and poisonous species.
After the walk, we’ll gather all the specimens we’ve collected for a practical identification workshop. We’ll examine each mushroom in detail to answer any questions and ensure that everything selected is safe to eat. Each participant will be able to take home their selection of edible mushrooms to enjoy the flavours of autumn in the kitchen.
We’ll round off the experience after around 4 hours of learning in the heart of nature.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone aged 6 and over.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility, as the route follows unpaved nature trails.
Pets are allowed .

Important: The exact meeting point may change depending on the weather. You will need to contact the organisers in advance to arrange the exact location.
The activity is available during the autumn season, in October and November, from Monday to Sunday at 09: 30.
This is a shared group tour, with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 12 participants.
Free parking is available at the meeting point. There is no public transport to the area; you must travel in your own vehicle.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
