Full description

The best of winter is out there.

Hop into a 4x4 in Aínsa and head towards the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park to enjoy a Level I snowshoe trek lasting around 3 hours. A gentle route with no steep climbs, featuring stops to explore frozen valleys and hidden corners of the Pyrenees at your own pace.

Lace up your boots and come and reconnect with the mountains at your own pace, with an experience lasting a total of 5 hours.

What we will do

The guide will meet us about 10 minutes early at the meeting point in Aínsa, Huesca. He will be in charge of accompanying us throughout the experience and driving the 4x4 in which we will travel to reach the best spot from which to start the snowshoe trek.

We’ll then set off for the heart of the Huesca Pyrenees. The exact location will be chosen depending on the weather conditions, as we’ll be visiting places that can only be reached by 4x4, such as the Añisclo area, the upper Pineta valley or the Viadós and Tabernés valleys in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. All offer spectacular panoramic views, with vistas of peaks over 3, 000 metres and glacial valleys that will leave us speechless.

Once at our chosen spot, we’ll put on our snowshoes and set off on a walk through forests and snow-covered slopes. It will be a Level I route, with no steep gradients, perfect for enjoying the mountains at a leisurely pace and immersing ourselves in the beauty of winter. What’s more, the guide will tailor the route to our group’s pace.

During the walk, which lasts around 3 hours including stops, the guide will show us hidden spots and tell us about the geology, history and wildlife of this unique part of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Each stop will be an opportunity to take in the views, have a laugh and take some souvenir photos.

In total, the experience will last approximately 5 hours, although the duration may vary slightly depending on the group and the weather conditions.
