If you thought the River Duero was just something to admire from the bridges in Soria, it’s about time you grabbed an oar and experienced it from the water.
Hop into a two-person kayak and set off on a guided 8 km descent down the River Duero, linking the village of Garray with the city of Soria. During the roughly 1. 5-hour trip, you’ll alternate between gentle paddling and refreshing Level II rapids in a natural setting that’s perfect for enjoying with a group.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the meeting point on the riverbank in the village of Garray, about 10 minutes before the booked time. There, we’ll introduce ourselves and our guide will give us a brief 10-minute briefing to explain how to use the paddle, the correct position in the self-bailing double kayak and the safety guidelines for the trip. We’ll put on our helmets and life jackets before heading out onto the water.
We’ll begin the 8-kilometre descent along the River Duero, heading towards the city of Soria. Along the way, we’ll paddle through calm stretches where we can relax and enjoy the surroundings as a group, interspersed with small rapids and pools classified as Level II, which will add a touch of excitement and require some paddling skill. The guides will accompany us throughout the journey to coordinate the pace and chart the smoothest course at every stage.
We’ll disembark on the banks of the river in the city of Soria, completing a total journey time of approximately 1. 5 hours (depending on the group’s pace and progress). Once the trip is over, the centre’s minibus will take the drivers back to Garray to bring the day to a close.
Who it is aimed at
This group experience is suitable for everyone.
The minimum age to take part is 12 years.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult on board the boat.
You must be able to swim.
It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs. It is also not recommended for pregnant women.
Pets are not permitted.
Other information
The experience is available from Monday to Sunday, from mid-May to mid-October.
A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 people are required per session (if the minimum group size is not reached, we recommend you contact our team) .
Free parking is available at the meeting point. We do not recommend using public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
