Pedregoso may not be mentioned in the main tourist guides... But if you visit this islet, you won't forget it.
This kayak route to the Guidoiro Pedregoso islet is an invitation to paddle along the Ría de Arousa and discover a small granite paradise surrounded by sea. Nature, freedom and a different plan to explore the Rías Baixas without rushing. It will take about 35 minutes of rowing to get there.
Bring a drink and something to eat... and let the time pass without looking at the clock. Are you up for it?
What we will do
The appointment will be at the meeting point, next to the beach of Espiñeiro de la Illa de Arousa, 15 minutes before the booked departure. There we will be met by the person in charge of the activity, who will hand over the material and give us the necessary instructions to follow the route to the Pedregoso islet.
If it is our first time, he will also explain how to handle the kayak and the main safety rules. He will also tell us how to get in touch with him if we need help, as he can pick us up at any time in an auxiliary boat .
And we will be ready to row in autonomy: heading for the heart of the Ría de Arousa. In about 35 minutes we will be at our destination. The Guidoiro Pedregoso islet, as its name suggests, has large areas of granite rocks. However, we will also find sandy areas, mainly concentrated in the northeast area.
Once there, we will spend about 3 hours exploring the small islet, observing its flora and fauna or relaxing listening to the sound of the sea. Afterwards, we will return following the same route to the island of Arousa.
The outward and return trips will last about 35 minutes each (in total we will paddle 4 km). The total duration of the activity will be 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all ages from 3 years old.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children between 3 and 8 years old will be in a kayak between two adults.
The activity is not suitable for people with motor disabilities.

The excursion is available from May to October.
The activity is done in autonomy: the guide will not accompany you, he will only give you all the necessary indications to follow the route before setting off. However, you will be able to contact him at any time to solve any problem and there will be an auxiliary boat at your disposal.
The kayaks available can be used individually, in pairs or with a child between 3 and 8 years old as a third passenger.
If you wish, it is possible to do the same activity on a paddle surf board.
Pets are not allowed on the island .

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
