If your daily life is faster-paced than a Formula 1 race, it’s about time you put on the handbrake and swapped the tarmac for a tranquil reservoir.
Explore the calm waters of Lake Barasona entirely at your own pace with a one-hour kayak hire. Just a stone’s throw from Graus, in Huesca, this getaway is ideal if you’re looking for complete tranquillity, as you’ll be able to paddle along without having to contend with currents or troublesome rapids. It’s the perfect way to try your hand at kayaking for the first time, or to bring the whole family along.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the time specified in your booking at the meeting point at the Graus water sports centre, situated on Lake Barasona itself, just 6 kilometres from the town of Graus. On arrival, we’ll head to the reception desk to check in, and we’ll be given all the necessary technical equipment.
We’ll put on the compulsory life jackets, grab the paddles and push the kayaks into the water. From this point onwards, we’ll set off on a completely unguided paddle across the reservoir. We’ll paddle leisurely and effortlessly across these calm, rapids-free waters, skirting the shoreline as we please, soaking up the sun, taking the opportunity for a refreshing dip or simply relaxing in the tranquillity of the reservoir.
We’ll return to the water sports centre to disembark and hand back the kayaks once the one-hour hire period is up . After saying goodbye to the staff at the centre, we can stay on to spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach bars, picnic areas and swimming spots around the reservoir.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for everyone. No previous experience is required.
The minimum age to take part is 4 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult on the same boat.
From the age of 10, children may paddle a single kayak independently, provided they can swim confidently and have sufficient strength to paddle on their own.
You do not need to be able to swim to take part, as the use of a life jacket is compulsory.
People in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility are welcome, but it is essential to contact the organisers in advance to arrange the necessary assistance.
For safety reasons, participation is not recommended for pregnant women.
Small or medium-sized dogs may come on board provided they are accustomed to the water and the movement of the kayak. You must notify the organisers in advance when making your booking.

The experience is available throughout June, July and August.
The activity is subject to a minimum number of participants being reached.
Public car parks are available at the meeting point. We do not recommend trying to reach the meeting point by public transport due to limited services.
Additional services: The surrounding area boasts excellent recreational facilities, including swimming areas, picnic spots and beach bars with free access (drinks and food at these establishments are not included in the hire price) .
Optionally, you can book a photography service for the activity directly at the base for an additional charge.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
