Nothing like a full day of fun on the water and good food to get out of the routine.
Enjoy a 9-hour day conquering the Hoces del Duratón from San Miguel de Bernuy. You will be able to see the flight of griffon vultures up close while you take a free kayak route without currents and with lunch included to replenish your strength.
A complete plan that combines nature and gastronomy in the heart of Segovia .
What we will do
Our adventure starts 10 minutes before the agreed time at the jetty in San Miguel de Bernuy, just over an hour from Madrid. After getting equipped with everything we need, we will feel that first adrenaline rush as we launch the kayak into the water to begin a full day of total freedom. Forget about guides setting the pace or groups rushing you; here we are the only captains of a journey through calm, crystal-clear waters, with no currents or waves to complicate our day.
As we paddle deeper into the heart of the Hoces del Duratón, the imposing limestone canyons begin to rise up beside us like stone giants. It is an incredible sensation to look up and see the majestic flight of the griffon vultures, which have made this area their largest colony in Europe. As this is a free route, the plan is up to us: we can get lost exploring every secret nook and cranny or simply let ourselves float while we enjoy the canyon.
To crown the day and recover our energy, we'll take a break on the way to enjoy the full lunch included in this experience. It will be time to put down the paddles, sit at the table and relax while we discuss the best moves of the morning.
We will have plenty of time until 20: 00 hours to enjoy this natural paradise at our leisure. We can take advantage of the last hours of sunshine to take a final dip in the banks of the river or simply paddle while the landscape is tinged with the evening light. At the end of the 9 hours, we will return to the San Miguel de Bernuy pier for a quick shower in the centre's facilities and return home with the satisfaction of having had a great day.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for all levels and ages from 3 years old.
Minors can sail if they are accompanied or bring a signed authorisation.
The use of a life jacket is compulsory for all participants. It is not essential to know how to swim to enjoy the route.
Pets are welcome on board.
For participants with reduced mobility, prior consultation with the organisers is recommended due to the characteristics of the natural access to the water in the Duratón.

The activity is available every day of the year.
The service hours are from 11: 00 to 20: 00, being this the latest time to be back at the pier.
The meeting point has free parking in San Miguel de Bernuy. It is not recommended to come by public transport.
Lunch will be served at the Chiringuito "El Duranguito", located on the river beaches, which allows you to enjoy lunch without leaving the natural environment. The menu for adults includes a complete paella, while the children's menu is adapted for the youngest members of the family; both are accompanied by salad, bread, drinks and dessert.
If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. ), it is essential that you inform the organisers when you make your reservation so that the menu can be adapted. You will receive the contact details in the confirmation email.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
