Get ready to scream with excitement, get soaked right down to your eyelashes and discover just how much fun it is to let the water take control.
Set off to navigate the rapids of the River Mijares in Castellón aboard a single-seater open kayak on a trip lasting a total of three and a half hours (with one and a half hours of hands-on action on the water) . Accompanied by qualified instructors, you’ll learn to navigate currents, eddies and backwaters in a very exclusive group of no more than 5 participants. What’s more , the experience includes a video and tickets to relax afterwards at the area’s famous thermal baths .
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Montán, Castellón. There, we’ll be welcomed and kitted out with wetsuits, life jackets, helmets and paddles, and we’ll receive a pre-trip briefing from qualified instructors to learn the basic manoeuvres of white-water kayaking.
We’ll head to the River Mijares in Montanejos to get into the water and start the descent. During an hour and a half of pure aquatic action, we’ll feel the pulse of the river as we put our paddling skills to the test amidst dynamic currents, tackle thrilling rapids, navigate eddies and navigate every bend in the course. The guides will accompany us at all times, showing us the smoothest, safest and most enjoyable lines to get the most out of the trip.
Then, with our adrenaline pumping, we’ll head for the bank to disembark and return to Montán, bringing the total duration to three and a half hours (including transfers and preparations). We’ll say goodbye to the team with the satisfaction of having conquered the river, and we’ll take our tickets for the Montanejos thermal baths with us.
Who it is aimed at
Suitable for beginners and participants of all levels.
The minimum age to take part is 12 ( children must always be accompanied by an adult) .
It is preferable to be able to swim in order to enjoy the descent with complete confidence.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. It is also not recommended for people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs.
Pets are not permitted on this experience.

The trip runs all year round.
The excursion is a shared tour with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 participants per group.
The meeting point has ample free parking. We do not recommend travelling by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
