Who said there’s no reward for getting up early?
This hot-air balloon ride over La Garrotxa has absolutely everything: a welcome with coffee and pastries, a toast with cava as you fly over the dormant volcanoes of the Natural Park and, to top it all off, a full country-style lunch featuring all the local specialities.
A unique day from start to finish that will be simply heavenly.
What we will do
The team will welcome us at their premises in the heart of La Garrotxa shortly before dawn. We’ll start the morning with a light welcome breakfast: coffee, herbal teas, juices and some pastries to give us the energy we need for the experience.
We’ll be able to watch the fascinating spectacle of the balloon being prepared and inflated before climbing into the basket alongside the rest of the participants. The pilot will give us all the safety instructions and explain every detail. With the whole group on board, it will be time to rise gently above the volcanic landscapes of La Garrotxa.
Rocked by the wind, as if in a dream, we’ll fly over the villages dotted across this unique part of the peninsula. Whilst admiring the scenery, we’ll be able to raise a glass of cava and sample a delicious coca de chicharrones, a local speciality.
We’ll fly for an hour and a quarter or an hour and a half over a landscape full of contrasts and colours, enjoying a spectacular panoramic view that changes with the seasons: from fields in bloom in spring to snow-capped peaks in winter.
Once back on the ground, the organisers’ vehicles will collect us to take us back to the centre. There, a full country-style lunch will be waiting for us , featuring bread with tomato, local cured meats, beans with butifarra… Dessert, coffee and a local liqueur (and when we say ‘full’, we mean full) .
We’ll round off the day with the presentation of flight certificates, bringing to a close an experience lasting approximately 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone. The baskets are spacious and have a door, making them easy to access.
Children aged 5 and over may take part . Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult or have the authorisation of a legal guardian.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to fly .
People with reduced mobility can fly in an adapted basket. If you require this service, please contact the organiser in advance. You will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.
Other information
The experience is available all year round and the flight is confirmed once a minimum group of 6 people has been reached .
Each hot-air balloon can carry between 10 and 16 passengers.
You must provide the weight of each participant in advance .
Pets are not permitted on board the balloon; they may wait in a designated area on the organiser’s premises.
If you have any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so that suitable alternatives can be prepared.
There is free private parking for participants at the meeting point. It is not possible to travel by public transport, but a pick-up service is available on request from Olot bus station or hotels in the La Garrotxa area at no extra cost.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is last minute. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
