Let the horse set the pace and the landscape do the rest.
Enjoy a 2-hour experience that includes a horseback ride through meadows, forests and mountain scenery near Madrid, accompanied by qualified guides and with refreshments included at the end of the ride.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Santo Tomé del Puerto, Segovia. On arrival, the team will welcome us and ask us about our previous experience in order to assign us to the most suitable horse. They know each animal well and want us to feel comfortable and safe from the very first moment.
The horses will be ready and, once the whole group has gathered, we will put on our helmets. If there are participants who have never ridden before, we will do a practical introduction, where we will learn how to hold the reins, how to place our feet correctly in the stirrups and how to advance or stop the horse safely.
When we are ready, we will get on the horses, adjust the stirrups and start the route. The route is adapted to the group and the level of the participants. During the ride of approximately 1 hour and a half, we will cross a spectacular natural environment between meadows, forests and mountain areas, in the surroundings of Santo Tomé del Puerto, with views of the Sierra de Ayllón and the Sierra de Guadarrama. Along the way it is common to see the ski resort of La Pinilla, cross oak groves, holm oak and juniper forests, and advance along small streams.
With a bit of luck, we can also see local fauna such as roe deer, horses in the wild, cows, sheep and birds such as vultures, kites and woodpeckers. The route is always accompanied by qualified guides, normally two monitors, who are on horseback throughout the route.
On returning to the facilities, we will enjoy a refreshment included, putting the finishing touch to the experience. In total, the activity lasts approximately 2 hours, including the initial introduction and the route on horseback.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Children from 6 to 10 years old can participate only if they have previous riding experience.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult and with a signed authorisation.
The activity is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
Pregnant women are not recommended to participate (except in cases of previous experience) .
Not suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.

The activity is available all year round.
Groups have a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 8 to 10, depending on the level of the group.
Free parking is available at the meeting point.
Pets are not allowed during the tour; they can stay on the farm.
The facilities include toilets, showers and changing rooms.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
