Can you imagine riding through the Picos de Europa on the back of a horse?
Starting just 6 km from Potes, this 1-hour guided route takes you along spectacular mountain trails, stretches of forest and the banks of the river Deva.
You don't need any previous experience: just relax, follow the horse's pace and let yourself be enveloped by the landscape, the tranquillity. .. and the magic of nature.
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the agreed time at the equestrian centre in Cillorigo de Liébana, just 6 km from Potes, in the heart of the Picos de Europa. There we will be met by the equestrian guide, who will explain the route and help us to get equipped, so that we feel comfortable and safe from the very first moment.
Before riding, we will be given a brief explanation of how to handle the horse: how to get on and off, how to communicate with it and some basic safety notions to enjoy the ride even if it is your first time. Then we will be assigned a horse according to our profile, and we will go out in a group, always accompanied by 1 or 2 monitors. The groups are small, with a maximum of 8 people, so the experience is very close and personalised.
The route is circular and runs along mountain trails that cross the farm, a small area of forest and a very beautiful stretch near the river Deva. The scenery is spectacular, and the rhythm of the horse, the fresh air and the sound of the hooves on the road create a feeling of total disconnection.
At the end, we will return to the equestrian centre, where we will say goodbye to our four-legged companions with that mixture of calm and joy that only nature can give.
In total, it will be 1 hour and 15 minutes of experience, including preparation, explanation and a route on horseback of approximately 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 7 and over. Minors can participate accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is easy, ideal even if it is your first time on horseback.
To participate, it is only necessary not to exceed 110 kg in weight.
The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or pregnant women.
In case of reduced mobility requiring minimal assistance, participation is possible but you must inform the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact details in the email confirming your booking.

The activity is available all year round, from Monday to Saturday, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Accompanying persons and pets can wait at the equestrian centre.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
