Get in touch with nature in the Argüero forest, located in the Asturian municipality of Villaviciosa, and its beautiful contrasting landscapes. Live the experience of a wonderful horseback ride!
What we will do
The meeting point is in Argüero, Villaviciosa. Our guide will be waiting for us at the stables 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
The horses will be already rigged with English saddles. We will have an initial briefing of about 15 minutes to learn how to ride and receive the basic theoretical instructions about horse riding. We will do some practice and then we will be ready to start the route.
The guide will accompany us on horseback and will make sure that everything goes smoothly. Depending on the option chosen during the booking, we will ride 5 km on the 1 hour route or 8 km on the 2 hour route. We will ride through the Argüero Forest, known for its attractive and diverse landscape. Points of interest include a jet deposit and the river Merón.
The Argüero forest is the rural area of the municipality, with a landscape made up of crop fields, mountains, meadows with livestock and forest areas. Once we have finished the 1 or 2 hour walk, we will return to the base camp.
The whole activity will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or 2 hours and 15 minutes, depending on the option chosen during the booking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for beginners.
The minimum age to participate is 8 years old. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, from that age a signed permission slip will suffice .
The maximum weight is 100 kilos.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people with motor disabilities, heart problems, epilepsy or vertigo.
Other information
It is possible to do the experience all year round, both in the morning and in the afternoon. The exact starting time of the route may vary depending on availability and the chosen duration.
Accompanying persons who do not participate in the route may stay in the stables waiting for them. Dogs may be kept on a lead.
Free parking is available on the premises.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
