A horse ride through the vineyards, an award-winning winery and a glass of wine in hand. This is the best way to enjoy the Penedès.
Combine a 1-hour horse ride through the vineyards with a guided tour and wine tasting lasting approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes at the award-winning Miquel Jané winery. A complete experience that brings together nature, culture and wine in a single day.
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Font-rubí, right in the heart of the Penedès. That’s where our day will begin, combining wine, nature and horses in a unique setting.
We’ll start the morning at the nearby riding centre, which has over 25 years’ experience in the world of horse riding. There, we’ll get to know the horses — calm, docile and suitable for beginners — put on our helmets and do a brief warm-up before mounting.
We’ll then set off on a horseback ride lasting approximately one hour through the vineyards, along country lanes and over the gentle hills of the Penedès. The equestrian guide will accompany us throughout the route, which offers spectacular panoramic views of the wine-growing landscapes and the tranquillity of the Catalan countryside.
After finishing with our four-legged friends, we’ll continue at around 11. 00 with a walking tour of the vineyard, where we’ll learn about viticulture first-hand and discover how the climate, soil and local grape varieties influence the character of Penedès wines. We will then tour the Miquel Jané winery whilst the winemakers explain the winemaking and ageing processes.
Then comes the highlight of the day: a guided tasting of four wines —white, rosé, red and cava — produced at the winery itself and recognised with international awards, accompanied by a selection of regional snacks. In total, this comprehensive experience—covering the vineyard, winery and tasting—lasts approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
We’ll round off the day with the feeling of having enjoyed a truly complete experience: culture, nature and wine in perfect harmony. In total, it will be around 3 hours and 45 minutes of learning, horse-riding through the countryside and enjoyment for all the senses.
Who it is aimed at
The minimum recommended age is 18 years old. However, minors may be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is at an easy level, perfect even for first-time riders.
The activity is not suitable for people with mobility problems or pregnant women.

The activity is available at weekends throughout the year.
The horse ride starts at 09: 00 and the winery tour at 11: 00. It is also possible to do the winery tour first at 11: 00 and the horse ride in the afternoon at 16: 30. To choose this latter option, you must contact the organisers in advance and state your preferred time.
The winery has free car park facilities .
It is not possible to reach the meeting point by public transport.
Pets are not permitted, unless they are in a carrier.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
