Full description
Discover in 2 hours the serene landscapes of Colomera, in Granada, from another perspective: at the leisurely pace of a horse.
Accompanied by a professional guide you will ride through the last frontier of the Nasrid kingdom, and you will ride through lands steeped in history, in a relaxing experience in connection with nature; accessible even if you haven't ridden before.
The ride will culminate with a delicious home-cooked dinner in a rural setting full of charm and authenticity.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Colomera, a charming corner in the north of Granada, where our equestrian guide will welcome us 10 minutes before departure time.
We will start with a brief introduction of about 15 minutes in which we will learn the basic safety rules and how to give the first commands to our horse. Nothing complicated! The horses will already be prepared and saddled with western style saddles. Our guide will assign us one and adjust the saddles so that we can ride comfortably and safely.
The route will be about 8 km long, crossing dirt tracks and varied terrain, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the province of Granada. We will ride through landscapes that were witnesses of history, following ancient trails that were part of the last frontier of the Nasrid kingdom.
All along the way, our guide will accompany us on horseback, sharing stories, local legends and fascinating details of the culture of the area.
At the end of the horseback ride, we will take a break at the ranch after which a home-cooked dinner will be waiting for us in an intimate, rural atmosphere. You will enjoy a menu that changes with the seasons: a fresh salad, three dishes to share (such as baked vegetables au gratin, seasonal scrambled eggs and other homemade delicacies) , and we will finish with a homemade dessert (drinks not included) .
The horseback riding experience will last approximately 2 hours. The full experience will last between 4 and 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 8 and over. Those aged between 16 and 18 can participate with a signed authorisation from a guardian.
The activity is easy, perfect even for first-time riders.
To take part, you must not weigh more than 105 kg or be more than 2 metres tall.
The activity is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back injuries.
Other information
The activity is only available from April to the beginning of September.
The saddle used is western style. The guide also participates on horseback.
In spring and summer the 2 hour tour will start at 18: 00 and in autumn and winter at 17: 00. Dinner will always start around 21: 00.
The dinner includes vegetarian options. In case of dietary requirements, you can ask the organisers for information in advance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
Drinks are not included.
Accompanying persons and their pets can stay on the premises, but will not be allowed to join the tour.
Access by public transport can be difficult due to the timetables available, but free parking is available for guests.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
