Get on the back of a horse to ride through the Castilian plateau in the surroundings of Polvoranca Park.
This 1.5 hour equestrian experience will give you an unbeatable opportunity to get started in horse riding. In addition, you will come into direct contact with the horses, ideal companions for enjoying nature.
It is an unforgettable experience of contact with the animals against the backdrop of a serene countryside landscape. Don't let them tell you about it!
What we will do
The meeting point with the guide is on the outskirts of Leganés. Ideally you should arrive punctually at the agreed time, there is no need to be there in advance.
We will spend the first part of the experience preparing the horses. The instructor will accompany us to pick them up from the stables while explaining the main theoretical aspects. Once we have been assigned our animal, we will put the bridle on, brush and clean them before tacking them up and saddling them.
Afterwards, we will move to the trotting area, a circular area of 18 metres in diameter. This is where the instructor will give us a short 30-minute lesson, in which we will learn how to control the horse, stop, turn and trot. Once we have gained confidence we will go for a ride, always under the watchful eye of the instructor, who will accompany us on foot to assist us at all times.
We will ride through the surroundings of the Polvoranca Park, a protected natural area with a view of the Castilian plateau. We will ride over 2.5 kilometres of flat terrain, starting with a short 200-metre stretch of tarmac track and then continuing along dirt tracks surrounded by countryside. The route will end with the return to the riding club facilities.
The total duration of the activity is 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This is an introductory activity, aimed at beginners with no riding experience from the age of 6 years old.
Minors can participate with a signed authorisation from a parent or guardian.
Pregnant women are not recommended.
Please advise in advance if a participant weighs more than 120 kilos or has motor disabilities.
Other information
The activity is available all year round.
Parking is available on the premises of the riding club and the bus stop is a 10-minute walk away.
Accompanying persons can wait at the club for the ride to finish.
It is not possible to bring pets onto the premises as there are other dogs living there.
