Tired of the only "picnic" of the week being a sandwich in front of the TV? Change the routine for the Biosphere Reserve and get ready for an unforgettable plan in the Xurés Park.
Experience a route on horseback through oak groves and breathtaking landscapes that culminates with a country feast of local empanada, sausages and a good toast. Connect with the nobility of horses living in freedom, fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy 2 hours of pure disconnection in an experience designed for 2 people.
What we will do
You will meet 15 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in Torno, in the province of Ourense. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a warm welcome and you will be given your safety helmet . Before starting the walk, you will enjoy a moment of rapprochement to introduce you to the real protagonists. These animals live in the wild, which makes the connection with them even more special and authentic.
Once in the saddle, your technical riding guides will give you practical tips on how to handle the reins and keep your balance. Together with other riders, you will immerse yourself for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in the heart of the Xurés Park, riding through lush oak forests and dirt tracks. During the ride, you will feel the peace of the environment while contemplating the villages that dot the mountain, enjoying the security of being a single team with your horse.
After the route, the finishing touch will come: a private picnic in the countryside to recharge your batteries surrounded by nature. You will enjoy a salty snack and a cold meal with the best of our land: local empanada, sausage, cheese and homemade bread. To toast, you can choose between wine, beer or water, ending the experience with something sweet and a coffee.
At the end, you will return to the farm where you will take some photos to immortalise this 2-hour experience.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced riders.
The minimum age to participate is 11 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult or present a signed authorisation; in any case, at least one of the participants must be of legal age.
For the welfare of the horses, the maximum weight allowed is 90 kg.
Pregnant women should consult their doctor before taking part in the activity.
For people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs, adapted 30-minute rides are available (subject to prior notice and price changes) .

The experience is available all year round.
The activity is strictly dependent on weather conditions, especially between November and February.

It is essential to indicate in advance the weight and height of the participants in order to assign the ideal horse; you will receive the contact details in the confirmation email.
Free parking is available on the premises. Bus access is also possible, although frequency is limited.
Pets are allowed on the farm (always leashed and under supervision) , but may not accompany them during the equestrian route.
In case of special diets or food intolerances, it is necessary to contact the organisers in advance; you will receive the contact details with the booking confirmation by email.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
