Ride, stop. .. and savour. This is how you experience the Mallorcan countryside on this horseback riding route with picnic in Mallorca.
For 2 hours you will ride through the Randa Valley between rural trails, gentle hills and paths flanked by vineyards and almond trees. Halfway along the route, you'll stop for a snack surrounded by nature, with cold meats, cheeses, bread, fruit and a glass of wine or soft drink to toast the views.
A relaxed and complete experience, perfect for those who want to enjoy the island without rushing. Are you up for it?
What we will do
The appointment will be 10 minutes before the booked time at the Randa Valley estate, a rural setting between hills and vineyards.
On arrival, the team will welcome you and give you the necessary equipment. The riding instructor will assign each person the most suitable horse, and for the first 30 minutes we can prepare them and start to get in tune with them. Then we will move on to the arena for a brief theoretical and practical training. Beginners will learn the basics for a first contact with riding, and those who already have experience will be able to get into the rhythm and connect with the animal.
Once everything is ready, we will set off to ride through the landscapes of the valley, among holm oak groves, crops and views of the Puig de Randa. Halfway through, we will stop in a vineyard area to enjoy a Mallorcan picnic with cold meats, cheeses, fruit, bread and a drink of your choice. The rest time will be relaxing, surrounded by nature and with the Tramuntana mountains looming in the background. Then, we will start our way back on the back of our Andalusian horse.
After 2 hours, we will return to the farm. There we will help wash and brush the horses and feed them. We will close the experience with a last toast in good company.
The whole activity will last 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 7 years old. Children under 7 years old can participate only if they already have riding experience.
Children between 7 and 11 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. From the age of 12 years onwards it is possible to do the activity with an authorisation.
The maximum weight per participant is 110 kg. We advise you to communicate your weight to the equestrian team before the activity. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant women or people with back problems or disabilities.
Other information
The tour is available all year round in the morning and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people. The timetable may vary depending on the sunset.
Accompanying persons who do not participate in the excursion can wait in the clubhouse of the riding club or take a walk through the village (150 metres from the facilities). Dogs may be kept on a lead.
The saddle used is English. If you have experience with another type of saddle you can ask for it.
The picnic includes a cold meat board, a cheese board, bread, fruit and a drink (water, soft drink, wine, beer). Alternatives for people with allergies/intolerance or for vegetarians/vegans are possible if you let the organiser know in advance. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.
During the activity the instructor will take photos which you will receive by phone at the end of the ride.
Free parking is available on the premises of the riding club. It is possible to reach the villages of Algaida and Llucmajor by public transport, from there the pick-up service is free of charge on request.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
