Full description
Forget about boasting about how many horsepower your car’s engine has: today you’re going to find out just how enjoyable it is to travel with a single horsepower that doesn’t use petrol.
Head to the Tiétar Valley for a one-hour horse ride through the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos. Accompanied by a qualified equestrian guide, you’ll ride along rural trails surrounded by lush vegetation at a leisurely pace whilst enjoying the fresh mountain air. Come and unwind amongst the pine forests, surrounded by nature!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the agreed time at the meeting point in La Adrada, Ávila. After parking on the premises, the team will welcome us and fit us with safety helmets. With the horses already saddled and waiting for us in the stables, we’ll head to the riding arena for a brief introduction: there, the guide will explain how to hold the reins, how to signal to the horse to move forward or stop, and the correct way to position your body so that you’re comfortable and safe from the very first step.
Once we’re feeling confident, we’ll leave the estate behind and head out into the countryside, following the riding guide, who will accompany us on horseback throughout the entire route. We’ll venture along the rural trails of the Tiétar Valley, on the slopes of the Sierra de Gredos, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the scent of pine trees as we ride along a mix of dirt tracks and woodland clearings. We’ll ride at a relaxed, steady pace whilst the instructor gives us guidance to help us synchronise with the horse’s rhythm. Along the way, we’ll keep a watchful eye out for the local flora and fauna: depending on the time of year, and if we’re lucky, we might spot roe deer peeking out from between the trees, rabbits scampering along the edge of the woodland, or a fox in the distance.
We’ll complete a circular route before returning to the estate. There, we’ll dismount, say goodbye to the horses and bring to a close this one-hour experience of total relaxation in the heart of nature.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for those aged 10 and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For safety reasons, this activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people in wheelchairs or those with reduced mobility.
The experience is easy and ideal as a first horse-riding excursion, with the pace adapted to the needs of each group.
Pets are not permitted.

The experience takes place all year round. Departure times vary depending on the season and the temperature, so once you have made your booking, you will need to contact the guide to arrange the exact time of the activity.
The tour is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Free parking is available on site.
The meeting point is not accessible by public transport (you can get there by taxi) .

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
