Full description
When night falls, Chulilla reveals another of its wonders: the starry sky.
This hiking and astronomy experience takes you to discover the secrets of the firmament as you walk through the mountains of Valencia. You will climb to the top of La Muela on a comfortable, guided trail. At the top, a telescope observation session awaits you in one of the clearest skies in Spain.
Between 3 and 4 hours to enjoy the landscape and learn astronomy in the middle of nature.
What we will do
We will meet in the village of Chulilla, the starting point of this night route in the Serranía de Valencia. The guide will be waiting for us one hour before sunset.
We will start the walk at dusk, equipped with headlamps. We will walk along a comfortable path, gradually gaining altitude while the guide introduces us to the world of astronomy. The climb is unhurried, with stops to interpret the landscape and comment on curiosities.
Once at the top of La Muela, we will enjoy the views and the clear sky without light pollution: we will be in one of the best places in Spain to observe the sky! There we will set up the telescope and spend about an hour observing the sky, guided by an expert in astro-tourism and discovering why the area is ideal for stargazing.
This experience will teach us how to orientate ourselves at night and how to use a planisphere . There will also be time to have dinner under the stars before heading back, completing a circular route of about 4.5 km.
The total duration of the activity is between 3 and 4 hours.
