Helicopter pilot for a day over the island of Mallorca

An experience that gives you wings. The real kind.

Take part in our helicopter flight in Mallorca: accompanied by a pilot, you will fly over wonderful corners of the island and experience the unique thrill of piloting the aircraft yourself.

A flight of 30, 45 or 60 minutes that will make you feel (more than) 3 metres above the sky.

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point at Son Bonet airport, on the island of Mallorca. There you will be met by the pilot who will accompany you on this adventure.

Once all the participants have gathered, the experience will begin with a briefing in which the pilot will explain how the helicopter flies, how the propulsion system works and how to operate the flight controls. In short, he will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy a worry-free experience. This introduction will last approximately 20 minutes.

And now it's time to climb aboard the Robinson R44 helicopter, along with the pilot and up to 2 other participants who will travel as passengers. You'll settle in, take the controls and discover the internal layout of instruments and switches. And in the blink of an eye, after starting the engine , you'll be taking off! You can choose whether to become a pilot for a day and fly the helicopter following the instructor's instructions, or simply enjoy the flight as a passenger, taking pictures of the scenery.

The itinerary will be flexible, but there are some suggestions depending on the time available. When booking, you will be able to choose between:

• 30 minutes flight: you will see the surroundings of the city of La Palma and go towards the coast, flying over the south of the Tramontana mountain range between Calvià, Peguera and Santa Ponça. Approaching the sea you will be able to see Cala Blanca, Cap de Mar, Punta de Andritxol and Cala Fornells.
• 45 minute flight: you will cover the entire south of the Sierra de Tramontana mountain range, skirting the coast and flying over Bañalbufar, Estellenchs, Pont d'en Barranc. .. You can even make out the island of Dragonera with its Tramuntana lighthouse.
• 60 minute flight: you will fly towards the northern part of the Tramuntana mountain range, reaching Cape Formentor and the Bay of Pollença. During the flight you will see the main peaks of the mountain range such as Puig de l'Ofre, Puig Major and Puig Tomir. On the coast you will see the Es Colomer viewpoint, Castell del Rei, Torre de Lluc and Torre Picada.

Finally, you will return to the meeting point. The whole experience will last between 1 hour and 1 hour and a half, depending on the duration of the chosen flight.

Who it is aimed at

The test drive experience is suitable for children aged 14 and over (you need to be at least 1.55 metres tall to reach the controls); you can participate as a passenger from the age of 3. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

A maximum weight of 135 kg is required to participate.

The experience is not suitable for people with motor disabilities.

Other information

Attention! This experience is weather dependent. The pilot will contact you before the scheduled date to confirm the flight, location and time of the experience. If bad weather is forecast, you will be notified as soon as possible so that an alternative can be considered.

The helicopter used is a Robinson R44, a light and versatile model, with capacity for 3 passengers plus the pilot.

The experience is available all year round.

Only one of the participants can take the controls.

Dogs are not allowed.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.
