If amusement parks have started to feel a bit too small for you, it’s about time you turned the power of the river into your very own rollercoaster.
Experience a 4-hour adventure (including 1½ hours of intense river paddling), just 1 hour from Valencia, Castellón and Teruel. Guided at all times by expert instructors, you’ll navigate sections of thrilling rapids, pass through unique gorges such as the Estrecho de Chillapájaros, and make strategic stops in the calmer sections to climb back up or jump into the water from the rocks. What’s more, the activity includes entry to the area’s famous thermal baths.
What we will do
We’ll meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Montán, Castellón. There, we’ll be welcomed and kitted out with wetsuits, life jackets and helmets. Before we set off, our team of qualified instructors will give us a comprehensive technical briefing on how to use the paddle, coordinate within the raft and react safely in white water.
We’ll travel by car for about 20 minutes to the starting point of the descent on the River Mijares, in Montanejos. Organised into rafts of 8 to 10 people alongside our instructor, we’ll jump into the water to enjoy an hour and a half of thrilling rafting. We’ll alternate between sections of powerful rapids and calmer stretches towards the end, stopping to test our balance, paddle upstream and jump into the river from rocks.
We’ll then reach the disembarkation point with our adrenaline pumping and return to Montán, bringing our 4-hour adventure to a close (including transfers and preparations) . To round off the day in style, we’ll say goodbye to the guides, taking our tickets with us to relax after our adventure at the famous Montanejos thermal springs.
Who it is aimed at
Suitable for beginners and participants of all levels.
The minimum age to take part is 8 years ( children must always be accompanied by an adult) .
You must be able to swim.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. It is also not recommended for people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs.
Pets are not permitted on this experience.

Important note regarding the timetable: The exact time may vary depending on the season or river conditions; it is essential to confirm the final timetable directly with the organisers after booking.
The trip runs all year round.
The excursion is a shared trip with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 55 participants (divided into rafts of 8 to 10 people plus an instructor) .
The meeting point has ample free parking. We do not recommend travelling by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
